A finish again though I am not sure if it counts for the Challenge 2009. I bought the wool summer 2007 for DD1. She likes knitting, the wool was on sale in the quiltshop and I couldn't go wrong with the color. DD always goes for purple, pink or black. The wool was a beautiful purple. On arriving home I thought I could make a start for her. But after a while it looked like it was going to be a pullover. Oh why shouldn't I knit the pullover for her and give it to her on her birthday in November (2007)? But like always only a minute from the finish I loose interest in things. That is also the reason for all my UFO's. I did not finish the pullover and thought I might give it for Christmas. Of course it was not finished. Then I wanted to give it to her on SIL's birthday in Februari 2008, her birthday November 2008, Christmas 2008, but no pullover yet. Untill a few days ago a bag literally fell off a shelf into my hands. The pullover! And since today is SIL's birthday again and we are going their direction, I thought I might as well finish that pullover. And I did!! It is a good feeling to have it out of the way and have a little less clutter in my sewing room. Yep, I am proud of myself. Hope to get many things done this month to keep that feeling.

You and I are twins. I am also very bad about getting things almost finished, and then setting them aside. But I didn't realize anyone ELSE noticed this, until my ex husband was at my house a few years ago and I showed him my nearly-finished queensize log cabin quilt (I had only a few feet of binding left to stitch down) and he said "Nice. But you won't finish it, you never finish anything." :-O

By the way--I finished stitching the binding later that same day.

Well done. She must have been thrilled.

She was very happy with it. The pulllover fits like a glove (Dutch saying) and she kept it on all day. Because the girl has my genes, she pulled pieces out of a draw that should be a pullover as well. As a good mum I started sewing it together. Unfortunately for her I could not finish it. So there is a seam left for her to do ;-)

Goed werk Jossie!
